BAME into Leadership

Online only

I'm proud to be part of this year's ‪inspiring‬ roster of speakers from the public sector community, all coming together to enhance the capabilities and leadership opportunities for BAME (Black, Asian and minority ethnic) colleagues across the Civil Service and wider public sector.

I hosted a series of mini-workshops to unleash the 'quiet power' held within the talented, introverted leaders present at the two conferences.

The watch again link will be available soon.

Women in communications

2 September 2020, Online

This autumn, I co-delivered the closing keynote at the annual Women in Communications conference with the title: Leading a change in culture: where do we go from here?

The number of women at board director level and above remains stubbornly low. My talk will explore this and the importance of not losing momentum in recognising female leaders in communications.

Catch up on the event on the Dods Plc website.

D&I Leaders on demand: Giving voice to quiet leaders

23 July 2020, 11.15-11.55am (UK time)

I co-hosted a 40-minute interactive session alongside Quiet Leadership Coach Iain Wilkie, founder of the charity ‘50 Million Voices’ collaborating with leaders from 15 countries to transform the global workplace for people who stutter.

Together we explored:

  • How the virtual world is changing unconscious biases that have historically existed in our extrovert-orientated workplaces

  • The importance of redefining the extrovert-introvert dynamic if teams are to make better decisions in the workplace of the future

  • Ways for the natural skills and contributions of quiet leaders to shine in the post-pandemic workplace, for the benefit of extroverts and introverts.
